Magnolia Rise Alpacas is run by Rob Gray and Sandi Stening and is situated in Bracknell, Tasmania in the picturesque Meander Valley region.

We first acquired three alpacas in October 2012 to help us maintain our small acreage and provide us with fleece. Sandi took up spinning and we found ourselves being kept warm throughout the chilly winter months here in Tasmania from the jumpers, scarves and mittens that she produced from their fleeces.

We are passionate about utilizing the fleece from these animals and currently produce handspun yarns both naturally coloured and dyed along with hand knitted fingerless gloves and mittens and hand woven scarves. These products are currently available through Art as Mania in Deloraine, Tasmania.

We fell in love with these beautiful and intelligent animals and decided to start breeding. Our goal was to breed fine fleeced coloured alpacas with a strong focus on breeding grey alpacas.

We stopped breeding alpacas in 2025.
